Failure to be Listed in the NRCan Searchable Product List

In Canada, all air-conditioning and heat-pump systems must be listed in the NRCan database. In fact, it is illegal to import or sell a unit that is not listed. At the time of this publication, March 16, 2026, the Zymbo Clima Puro is not listed in the NRCan Searchable Product List.

Failure to Meet NRCan Minimum Efficiency Requirements

Zymbo Clima Puro has a published rated capacity of 8,831 BTU in its brochure. Under federal law (Energy Efficiency Regulations, 2016 + AHRI 210/240), any 8,831-BTU heat pump in this class must meet a minimum SEER2 rating of 13.4 to be legally sold, installed, or used in Canada. Zymbo Clima Puro fails to publish an SEER2 value in their documentation because the unit cannot meet the required 13.4 SEER2 when tested in a certified lab. This alone renders the units illegal.

Illegal Rating

Zymbo Clima Puro uses the wrong rating metric in their published documentation, EER instead of SEER2, COP2 instead of HSPF2. Zymbo Clima Puro publishes only an EER for cooling and a COP for heating. Neither EER nor COP is a legal rating for this product category. For a heat pump, federal law requires SEER2 and HSPF2 ratings, and compliance with AHRI 210/240. This alone renders the units illegal.

Illegal Misclassification

By using an EER instead of SEER2, Zymbo is classifying Clima Puro as PTHP, but it does not meet the PTHP definition under the Energy Efficiency Regulations. A lawful PTHP must have a wall sleeve, a separate unencased chassis, and through-the-wall mounting. The Zymbo Clima Puro unit lacks these traits. Misclassifying the Clima Puro as PTHP by using EER is a direct violation of NRCan rules and is illegal.

Miscalculated Performance Numbers

Zymbo misrepresents even the fake numbers it publishes for Clima Puro in both heating and cooling.

In Cooling

Using Zymbo’s own watt input: 8,831 ÷ 750 = EER 11.77. Yet, Zymbo publishes 10.6 EER.

In heating, Zymbo still can’t do simple math.

In Heating

Using their own watt input: 8,800 ÷ 3.412 (BTU to W) ÷ 700 = 3.68 COP. Yet, Zymbo publishes 3.35 COP.

Zymbo is playing with the numbers. The numbers they published looked too good to be true, so they simply “dumbed down” the efficiency.

Fraudulent and Fake Numbers

The 8,831 BTU capacity they claim in printed brochures and technical documents, along with the 10.6 EER rating for the Clima Puro model, is fake and fraudulent. When tested in a lab, this unit will not produce 8,831 BTU and a 10.6 EER. So, even ignoring the misclassification and wrong ratings, the actual numbers they claim are fake.

On the Zymbo Clima Puro, the claimed capacity and EER rating are fake and fraudulent. When tested in a lab, this unit will not produce 8,831 BTU and an EER of 10.6. So, even ignoring the misclassification and wrong ratings, the actual numbers they claim are fake.

Regulatory Violation Summary

Zymbo — Clima Puro
This product is illegal to distribute, specify, install, or use in the United States and Canada. Zymbo’s published efficiency numbers are fabricated, mathematically impossible, and use illegal EER rating metrics instead of the legally required SEER2 or CEER metrics that have not been legally acceptable since January 1, 2023. The Clima Puro fails to meet DOE and NRCan minimum efficiency requirements under every applicable classification.

One Million Dollar Guarantee

We back the statement that the Zymbo Clima Puro cannot legally be sold, installed, or used in the United States and Canada with a One Million Dollar Guarantee.

These ratings cannot be made up. They must be established through testing in a genuine laboratory under correct DOE and NRCan test procedures. Zymbo has not done this, and the data it publishes makes clear why.

Publishing a retired and inapplicable metric is not a technicality or an oversight. EER was replaced by mandatory legal requirements in 2023. Its continued use constitutes a deliberate misrepresentation of compliance status to customers, dealers, and regulators.
