Terms & Conditions

Innova guarantees that the efficiency and capacity numbers published by the copycat brands are fabricated. None of these companies possesses a certified, independent laboratory report from an SCC-Accredited Certification Body validating their claimed BTU outputs, SEER2 ratings, EER values, COP, HSPF2, or any related metric. Their data is invented. To publicly prove this, Innova issues the following standing challenge.
Innova will pay $1,000,000 to any manufacturer, distributor, engineer, laboratory, or entity that provides a certified, independent test report verifying that any of these units achieves all published performance ratings under proper federal test procedures. The report must confirm every number exactly — not a substitute metric, not a corrected rating, not a reclassified version. This challenge constitutes a binding unilateral offer. If a claimant satisfies all the requirements below, Innova must pay.

1. DEFINITIONS

1.1 Eligible Unit

Any unit sold under any brand using the known copycat platform, including:
Ice Air, PMC Green, Applied Comfort, Islandaire, DesignLine, Dubbil, Waysos, GeoSmart NetZero, Williams, Ortech, Mits Air, Silktech, Genuine Comfort, Technoact, Kinghome, Wuxi Hammer, Multi MFG, Exinda, and any other private-label variant using the same chassis, coil, compressor, electronics, or heat-pump architecture.

1.2 Certified Laboratory

Only an SCC-Accredited Certification Body accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) qualifies, including Intertek (ETL), UL, CSA, TUV, or any equivalent.

1.3 Certified Test Report

A complete and original SCC-Accredited Certification Body-issued heat pump performance report containing full raw data, airflow measurements, refrigerant data, all instrumentation details, calibration certificates, all load curves, the complete rating file, and full performance tables. Summaries, screenshots, PDFs without raw data, factory tests, internal documents, simulations, or partial reports do not qualify.

1.4 Legal Test Procedure

Only legal, qualified test methods. No substitutes, no estimates, no manufacturer-developed procedures, and no partial-condition testing.

1.5 Published Ratings

Any performance value claimed in any marketing or technical document, including cooling BTU, heating BTU, SEER2, EER, EER2, CEER, COP, HSPF2, or any similar metric, whether listed in brochures, websites, flyers, labels, distributor sheets, or installer materials.

2. GUARANTEE OFFER

Innova will pay One Million Dollars to any claimant who supplies a Certified Test Report proving that an Eligible Unit achieves every Published Rating under the Legal Test Procedure. This is a legally enforceable unilateral contract.

3. CLAIM REQUIREMENTS

3.1 Laboratory Requirements

A Certified Laboratory must perform the test, must test the same Canada retail model and SKU, must use the correct method for testing and rating, and must provide all raw data. Specimens must be purchased from existing stock and randomly selected.

3.2 Performance Requirements

The report must confirm every published performance number exactly, including cooling BTU, heating BTU, SEER2, EER, EER2, CEER (if assigned), COP, and HSPF2. If even one metric fails, the claim fails.

3.3 Classification Requirements

The unit must be shown to comply with the correct NRCan classification definitions in the Energy Efficiency Regulations, 2016, and with the minimum efficiency requirements in CSA C744. If the unit is misclassified (for example, labeled as a PTHP but does not meet the PTHP structural requirements), the claim fails immediately.

4. DISQUALIFICATION CONDITIONS

A claim is disqualified if the test is non-certified or internal, the lab is not an SCC-Accredited Certification Body, the tested unit differs from retail stock, any published rating fails, any raw data is missing, the classification is incorrect, or the unit fails to meet minimum SEER2 requirements.

5. FEDERAL COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENT

The unit must comply with Energy Efficiency Regulations.

6. SUBMISSION PROCESS

Claimants must submit the complete Certified Test Report, documentation showing the tested unit matches retail stock, all published specs for that model, and a notarized declaration of authenticity.

7. REVIEW PERIOD

Innova will verify laboratory accreditation, confirm compliance with test procedures, analyze all raw data, confirm proper NRCan classification, and match every Published Rating to measured results—any discrepancy results in denial.

8. PAYMENT

If the claim is fully validated, Innova will pay $1,000,000 via certified bank transfer within 15 business days.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The offer is enforceable only upon perfect compliance. No payment is owed for partial matches, alternative metrics, improper classifications, or invalid test procedures.

10. GOVERNING LAW

The challenge is governed by Canadian federal law and the laws of the Province of Ontario, with jurisdiction in the courts of Toronto, ON.
